HSUMC Mission Statement (why we exist)
The mission of HSUMC is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. This is based on the "Great Commission" found in Matthew 28:19-20 and the "Great Commandment" found in Matthew 22:37, 39.
Core Values (how we behave)
Christ Centered- Jesus is at the heart of everything we do and how we
do it.
Prayer Focused- Prayer is essential in establishing and continuing our
relationship with God.
Welcoming & Nurturing- Our identity is being a warm, friendly, loving
and caring community within our congregation and to all people.
Biblically Grounded- Scripture transforms us to grow in our faith and
knowledge of Christ.
Faith for Life- Spiritual growth (Discipleship) is a lifelong journey for
everyone that begins as we teach and model faith to our children.
Service Driven- The Gospel is meant to be lived through an active and
generous faith that builds relationships with everyone we serve, and
with each other, as we share the good news of Jesus Christ to our
community, nation and world.
Holly Springs UMC is about growing relationships with Christ, each other, and our community and world.
